The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

  • Join our highly skilled Subsurface Reservoir Characterization team, who are responsible for subsurface applications within Reservoir Characterization, Reservoir Modelling, Well Planning, Petrophysics and Exploration.

  • Perform proactive Application Life Cycle Management (Plan - Build - Run) for our subsurface applications, both on-premise and in the cloud.

  • Work on projects of all sizes, from small-scale initiatives to large projects.

  • Collaborate with internal users both nationally and internationally.

  • Work in close collaboration with a range of teams (e.g. Infrastructure, IT security, DevOps, external partners), as well as with external software vendors.

You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within computer science or similar, however relevant experience may compensate for formal education.

  • A Linux expert with several years of experience and a proven track record.

  • Strong understanding of, and experience with databases such as Oracle.

  • Good understanding of and experience with scripting, programming, Windows, infrastructure, and cloud computing.

  • Experience/knowledge from relevant parts of the business (production/reservoir) and experience with subsurface applications is advantageous.

  • A pro-active approach to building your competence and staying up to date on technology and trends.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, and self-motivated to handle multiple tasks in parallel.
