Job Description

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in US and Mexico Supply Chain activities supporting either the Onshore or Offshore business units. The successful candidate will work out of either our Houston or Austin office.

The Supply Chain Intern will report to the manager for one of the functional teams within Procurement International, US and Mexico.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for an intern who is eager to gain exposure to challenging tasks across US and Mexico Procurement.

This role will involve multiple projects ranging from strategic to operational tasks (potentially one large project, or several smaller projects). The expectations, deliverables and timelines will be agreed between the Supply Chain Intern and relevant leader at beginning of the summer.

Some areas of responsibilities include the following:

Develop sourcing strategy and execute a Request for Proposal process

Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms

Build should-cost models for selected services

Execute tasks within the Requisition to Pay cycle (within SAP and Oildex OpenInvoice)

Drive improvement through LEAN methodology

Contract management and administration

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

GPA of 3.0 and above is required
