The role of finance and control (F&C) is to drive performance and value creation across the company, to provide professional support and advice towards the business and the corporate executive management, to provide financial information internally and externally and to represent Equinor in the financial markets.

Job Description

Professional disciplines under Finance & Control are:

Economic analysis (investment and portfolio analysis)

Performance management


Accounting and financial reporting

Business architecture and digitalisation


Risk management

As a summer intern you will be working with real business issues and gaining practical experience from a broad variety of tasks. You will be supported by experienced leaders and collaborative colleagues to expand your range of competencies and skills

During the internship you will typically learn from our main business activities and deliver into our functional processes, or you will have the opportunity to work with improvement projects supporting our strategy and business goals. In addition to finance and business competence, F&C is also looking for candidates to explore and create value through digitalisation

Your exact assignment and location will be decided based on our business needs combined with your field of expertise and your interests

Relevant education:

Economics, Finance, Business, Industrial Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, Information Technology and Mathematics are most relevant. Additional education in areas such as Technology, Management, Audit and Law are also relevant


No more than 1 year of full time relevant experience (please note research under a PhD are not be considered relevant experience)

Have completed at least 2 years of relevant bachelor studies by the time of the commencement of the internship, and are currently enrolled in a relevant study programme

Fluent in English

International work and/or study experience preferred

Extra curricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
